Tuning Services

Orchestral Percussion offers specialist re-tuning services for marimba, xylophone, glockenspiel and vibraphone notes.  The work is carried out in a monitored and controlled atmosphere and occurs in three stages; including dissonance identification, reduction, or elimination using a smoother stretch curve to guarantee consistent results.

All tuning standards and any temprement desired can be achieved and cover all styles including quint, octave, and triple harmonic.

Re-finishing and minor repairs are where possible done as part of the tuning process.  Extensive note bar repair or replacement using thorough wood selection is available.
